Join us from 7pm to 8pm over wine, cheese, live music, and art -- our treat! -- to celebrate the vision to see our home waters protected as they should be.
Come indulge in some tasty cheeses and BC VQA wines produced from the water wealth in this beautiful province, view some home-water inspired works of art by well-known local artist Gary Haggquist, and listen to local bluegrass duo Greenwood. Learn about the successes and future plans of the WaterWealth Project, as well as how your contribution and support will ensure long-lasting protections for our waterways, now and for generations to come.
It’s been seven months since we hosted our official launch party. At that time we were fortunate to have some seed funding to get off the ground and figure out if a community-driven initiative for water protection could have an impact. Well, thanks to the efforts of our incredible volunteers, supporters like you, and staff, we have already achieved some wonderful successes. We want to share these with you and discuss our plans for the future.
We came together to form the WaterWealth Project because we believe we are very lucky to live in a region with such amazing water wealth–the Chilliwack and Vedder rivers, Harrison, Cultus Lake, the mighty Fraser. These water bodies and the streams and aquifers that feed them provide us with so much – drinking water, salmon, beaches, fishing, recreation, food and wine and sustenance for so many of our local economic activities. It is perhaps the purest source of prosperity in our home region. Yet this wealth is also at serious risk if we don’t work together to protect it.
Let's join together to celebrate what we have and continue to build the vibrant community of support for the work of protecting our home waters!
We invite you to bring along friends and family (19 years+); please add the number of additional guests on your RSVP.
We look forward to seeing you there!
