Tree planting, Silverdale Creek Wetland

Stave Valley Salmon, Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition and the Pacific Salmon Foundation are inviting the public to take part in planting the most recent habitat restoration area on Silverdale Creek Wetlands.  This is a very unique area immediately adjacent to the walking path.  The restoration has been designed to improve salmon fry access and survival but also incorporates frog and toad nursery areas and snake over wintering dens.   A select number of larger Dogwood and hawthorn trees are available to be planted as "your tree" (or your dog's, or your husband's).   The $25.00 donation will go directly to the Mission Food Centre's summer food drive.
