What We Do

The WaterWealth Project is a citizen-driven campaign amplifying the voices of local community members who love the waters that sustain their home

The WaterWealth Project is about empowering community residents to regain control over decisions that affect their home waters – the rivers, lakes and aquifers that are the arteries of our towns, cities and regions.

We believe that we all have a story that connects us to our home waters. We are driven by finding innovative ways to engage our communities in telling the collective story of our water wealth. And we strive for common solutions to keep that story alive for our children and grandchildren.

We believe in building real relationships. You will find our team of staff and volunteers talking with local residents in our communities, at public libraries, at universities, at elders’ homes, and on the streets. We work with community groups, local businesses and associations with whom we share common values. We believe in a deep democracy with new forums and structures that allow citizens to have a central role in making important decisions.
